General documents - Statement on the EP consent to the EU-BY visa facilitation & readmission agreements - Delegation for relations with Belarus

Brussels, 13 May 2020 - "During today's plenary session, the Members of the European Parliament overwhelmingly endorsed the visa facilitation and readmission agreements which the EU and Belarus had signed on 8 January.

While Belarus has already completed the ratification process, the European Parliament's formal consent opens the way for the Council to conclude their ratification, which we hope will proceed smoothly and successfully.
